We spoke with dozens of researchers to frame the problem we wanted to solve before writing a single line of code. We still approach work the same way today, with humility, curiosity and a genuine desire to empathize and solve for our researcher’s pain points.
Notably is growing quickly and we’re looking for people to join our team who are curious, empathetic, and ready to create research software people love to use.
Join us and be part of the research-led future.🤜🤛
We embrace uncertainty. We have an active curiosity and seek ideas and perspectives different from our own. Saying “I don’t know” is an opportunity to slow down and learn something new. We look outward to frame the problem before jumping to solve it right away.
Empathy is about feeling. And we put people at the heart of everything we do. This human-centered perspective means making space for others, and constantly seeking to listen, understand, and relate to how our researchers (and each other) feel.
We default to generous trust and autonomy. With great trust comes great responsibility and the freedom to reach full potential. We nurture and protect this foundation in our everyday words and actions.
We celebrate our wins. We also celebrate the the risk-takers, the ones bold enough to go after big ideas and the courage to be vulnerable. We’re careful not to let healthy skepticism slip into cynicism or fear. By daring greatly, we go after big goals and learn from our failures.

Notably was founded by Brittany Fuller and Allison Marshall in 2021 after both having experienced in their careers as a product manager and product designer, a lack of solutions that aligned with the methodologies commonly used for research analysis and synthesis.
They saw an opportunity to innovate in this space and solve a timeless problem: making sense out of conversational data. Today, Notably helps teams collect, analyze, and share qualitative research.
